Mandala Sunrise, acrylic painting on board finished in satin varnish, 11″ x 14″

This painting is inspired by the rising sun in the mountains. The lotus inspired mandala in the sky is a reminder of how the lotus flower opens up toward the sun each morning. Despite its environment being murky, muddy waters, it opens up toward the light each day and is clean and pure. I keep that as a reminder that each day, despite how messy our lives may be at any moment in time, each new day provides an opportunity to start a new, if even in the smallest way. I love this as a reminder because its easy to forget in our busy often hectic everyday.

The painting is varnished in satin, has a signed certificate of authenticity on the back as well as a hanging wire.
