This mosaic is based of a photograph I took at Killington Mountain in Vermont on a crisp September Day.  It was a beautiful day and the cloudy but sunny atmosphere created a retro feeling – at least for me.  The rolling mountains were dressed in oranges, ochers, and yellows with occasional green pines that concentrated on the highest peaks.  Every time I work on a mosaic inspired by Vermont – a place very dear to my heart, I feel that I give back some of what Vermont has given me, which I cannot put into words.
